Biography[]
A breach[]
When Peter Waxman gets a call from Ellen Kim about her late husband, David Kim, contacting her daughter through the internet, Waxman calls the black site in Norway and he rushes to inform Julius Pope.
Pope asks a him how Laurie Lowell escaped and he says she left a copy of herself and he suggests following her husband. But Pope says he quit his job three weeks ago and is currently missing.
Two big searches[]
A few days after David Kim's family reclaims his upload, Anssi picks up a spike and, unable to track it, records it in the hopes of tracking later. Later, Anssi is with Pope when the CEO is reflecting on the damage Laurie did when the two are informed Caspian is close to finding their black site. Caspian sees pictures from construction, but Anssi switches them out before Caspian can take a screenshot. Caspian witnesses this and is confused.
A few weeks later, Anssi is making hot chocolate when he receives a call from Karl Van Leuwen about Cary running and hands the call to Pope, telling him they have no idea where Cary is. Later, Pope has him recharge his phone after the battery dies.
After Caspian goes missing, he tells Karl Van Leuwen Pope is in Holstrom's office.
Working with Caspian[]
After Caspian is found, Pope brings the boy to Svalbard. Anssi describes the power and storage of the facility. Caspian predicts it will take half a month to wipe the servers and walks off, leaving Anssi stunned.
In the months following the internet shutdown, he works on a team with Waxman and Stephen Gold trying to cure the flaw in no such. However, after Pope has Renee bring Maddie Kim to Svalbard, Caspian is able to crack integrity. Anssi- along with Caspian, Pope, Maddie, and a security guard -test the cure on David’s upload and find it successful. He deletes David’s source code and takes the cure to cure Holstrom after his brain is uploaded, locking the teenagers in the lab. When Caspian and Maddie escape and reclaims the cure, he fails to stop them as Caspian locks him out. After getting Renee to flee with Holstrom's upload when the FBI reach the black site, he is arrested along with Van Leuwen, Pope, and other Logorhythms employees found at the black site.
