Cloud Intelligence (often abbreviated as C.I.), is an amalgamation of 2 UIs, by combining parts of their code to create a flawless UI. Created by Caspian Keyes, CIs were initially made to be a cure for the flaw implemented inside Uploaded Intelligence, due to their human emotion. It was unintentional that the first CI, MIST had actually become conscious.
Inherently, CIs are the cure. By simply passing or connecting with a UI, they can infect cure them of their flaw, registering the UI inevitable, this allows them to over and underclock without having to damage their mind or code.
The first C.I. ever created called M.I.S.T.
In Season 2 Episode 7 & 8, "The World to Come" and "Deep Time", we are introduced to various other C.I.s who were seen floating nearby of MIST, during Caspian's trial against the UIs who rule the UI web, and we were also informed that there are 100 billion C.I.s worldwide, many of whom were in stasis, due to the failure of construction of The Orbital Ring, which could have provided power to both C.I.s and U.I.s, even more power then that of Earth, and faster cooling due to being in space.
Etymology[]
The name "CI" came from MIST, as she said "You cant be an Uploaded Intelligence" if you were never uploaded from anywhere else, and thus MIST was simply created in the cloud/the internet. She has no human origins.
