Daniel Dae Kim is a Korean-American actor and producer. He portrays David Kim in the AMC+ animated drama, Pantheon.
Biography[]
Kim's family moved to the United States when he was one year old. In 1990, he graduated from Haverford College in Haverford, Pennsylvania, with double bachelor's degrees in theater and political science, while also earning an MFA from New York University's Graduate Acting Program in 1996.
Immediately after graduation, Kim began his acting career with a role in the 1991 film American Shaolin. In the following years, he would go on to appear in various television series, including Unsolved Mysteries, Law & Order, All My Children, Beverly Hills, 90210, NYPD Blue, and Seinfeld. In 1999, he landed a series regular role in the Babylon 5 spin-off Crusade, which only ran for a single season before being canceled. He portrayed Lt. John Matheson. From 2001-2003, he guest starred as Gavin Park in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin-off Angel. After appearing in several episodes of the medical drama ER, Kim landed a recurring role in 24 as Tom Baker.
After a small role in the 2004 Marvel film Spider-Man 2, Kim starred in the ABC mystery series Lost as Jin-Soo Kwon, from 2004-2010, a role for which he received numerous accolades, including an AZN Asian Excellence Award, a Multicultural Prism Award, and a Vanguard Award from the Korean American Coalition, all for Outstanding Performance by an Actor. Shortly after Lost's conclusion, Kim joined the CBS reboot Hawaii Five-0 as Chin Ho Kelly. He's also appeared in The Legend of Korra, The Good Doctor, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and New Amsterdam.
