Raza Jaffrey is a British actor and singer. He portrays Chanda Vinod in the AMC+ animated drama, Pantheon.

Biography[]

Jaffrey grew up in London, where he studied English and drama at Manchester University and studied acting at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. While there, he appeared in several plays, including The London Vertigo, Henry VIII, and A Comedy of Errors. During his final year at Manchester, he worked with Royal Shakespeare Company chief associate director Gregory Doran, which led him to become a professional actor.

In 1998, Jaffrey made his television debut in the series Picking up the Pieces, followed by another single episode appearance in EastEnders. From 2004-2007, he appeared in the British television spy drama MI-5 as agent Zafar Younis. He later departed Mi-5, known in some countries as Spooks, and joined the cast of the BBC One drama series Mistresses. In 2006, he starred in the film Infinite Justice, for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Kara Film Festival. After landing a role in the 2010 Sex and the City 2 film as Butler Gaurav, Jaffrey joined the NBC musical series Smash. Some of his other notable credits include Homeland, Elementary, The Enemy Within, and Lost in Space.
