Biography[]

Mission to Svalbard[]

You're the joke. ‘The Humans’. A stupid name for a hate group. Petty. Not that destroying Heaven 'cause you can't get in isn't petty, but... well, at least I'm honest about why I'm here.

Julius Pope, to the guerrilla, Deep Time

The guerrilla was one of three others who accompanied Julius Pope—"Tony"—to the Svalbard data centre, where Pope intended to plug SafeSurf into the wider Cloud. Unlike the others, however, he wasn’t there to cover the extraction and held no leadership role. Instead, he assisted Pope directly, the two of them moving through a drainage pipe toward one of the centre’s derelict entrances.

Initially smug and blissfully ignorant, the guerrilla grew curious about why Pope was so familiar with the building's layout. When Pope answered that he had once worked there, he initially gave no mind to it, but Pope continued to monologue, revealing his transhumanist ideology—which was deeply antithetical to the one The Humans subscribed to. Once they reached a fingerprint scanner, he finally realised that Pope was not joking—but it was too late. Pope swung around with a pistol in hand and shot him, dropping him to the ground, where Pope made him aware of his true allegiances and identity. He was shot in the head.
