Taylor Jane Schilling is an American actress. She portrays Renee in the AMC+ animated drama, Pantheon.
Biography[]
Schilling was a fan of the NBC medical drama ER during her adolescence, which inspired her to began acting at a young age, appearing her in middle school's theater production of Fiddler on the Roof. In 2002, she attended Fordham University, where she continued to pursue acting and participate in stage productions while earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She also joined the graduate acting program at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, but left after her second year.
Schilling made her film debut in 2007 as Jackie in the drama film Dark Matter, starring Meryl Streep. By 2009, she had landed a starring role in the NBC medical drama Mercy as Nurse Veronica Callahan. Unfortunately, the series only aired for one season. She co-starred with Zac Efron in the romantic drama film The Lucky One before landing the role that she would become best known for. From 2013-2019, Schilling portrayed Piper Chapman in the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black. For her role, she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series – Drama and the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series in 2014. Most recently, she portrayed Erica Boyer in the 2022 Pam & Tommy miniseries
