The Orbital Ring was a human construction plan which purpose was to provide power for CIs and UIs. Unfortunately, due to coflict between the embodied and the UIs, the construction of the ring was cancelled, as a part of it would have been constructed on ancient Incan ruins,[1] which to the embodied registered as controversial and a disruption to human archeology.
In Season 2 Episode 8, Caspian challenges this by asking the leaders ahead of him if they believe that those who are dead (by which he is referring to those who have perished long before UIs were even thought of) are more important those alive (which includes UIs and the embodied). The representitives belittle him for the question, believing it to be ridiculous.

Mistakes[]
- MIST claims that "outer space resolves the cooling problem." This is a scientific error, as the vacuum of space, despite its extreme cold, makes cooling very difficult, if not impossible.
